## Purpose:
By-Law of the Town of Salmon Cove for the direction of senior staff and council regarding the Snow Clearing By-Law.
## Authority:
As per motion on the 16th day of December, in the year 2025.
## Motion 025-239
Motion to accept the By-Law for Snow Clearing.
## By-Law:
Access to Firemen's driveways (Wing Roll removal only) will be cleared on the first pass of the plough along the driveway, after a major snowstorm where access is blocked.
As per normal practices of the Town of Salmon Cove, no residents shall push snow across a town road such that it impedes the flow of traffic or narrows a cleared area. A fine may be levied to the amount of $100.00; if the Maintenance personnel must return to clear the road.
Any damage or repairs to personal property in the town of Salmon Cove within town road allowance which may have been created through regular snow clearing by town employees or town vehicles will not be funded through the tax dollars of residents of the said town.
All claims for damage must be made in writing to the town office within fourteen (14)

## SNOW CLEARING BY-LAW
days of the damage occurring; otherwise, the claim will not be considered. (The town Will not respond to verbal claims) Claims will not be honored after May 15th of each year.
The town will not be responsible for any damage caused within the town road allowance. This includes damage to fences, garbage boxes, lawns, trees, etc.
The town will not be responsible for damage caused by "weight of snow".
This By-Law shall be cited as the Town of Salmon Cove Snow Clearing By-Law.
This By-law shall come into effect on the 16t of December 2025.
