Town of Springdale Tax Structure 2026 At a meeting of Council held on January 5, 2026 the following rates and charges were approved pursuant to the terms of the Town's 2026 Budget are hereby published in accordance with the provisions of Section 109 (1) of the Municipalities Act. - The rate of interest for overdue accounts is set to be at Prime + 3%. This is simple interest. - All taxes are due March 31, 2026 1. Property Tax Assessed Value equal to or less than $58,065.00 Base amount of $450.00 plus 0.00001% Assessed Value greater than $58,065.00 7.75 Mills 2% Discount on property, business, water and sewer taxes for citizens if paid in full by March 31, 2026. Reduction of Property Tax Taxpayers are eligible for an 80% reduction on the annual residential property tax. This will be on their primary residence only, provided that the total income of the household is less then the basic amount. Property owners will have to provide copies of Revenue Canada Assessment Notice for the household and a town supplied form that must be witnessed by a Justice of Peace or Commissioner of Oaths. 2. Business Tax Assessed Value equal to or less than $45,161.00 Base amount of $350.00 plus 0.00001% Assessed Value greater then $45,161.00 Below as follows: Banks and Finance Companies 160 mils Oil Companies 67.5 mils Hotel & Motel 10 mils Funeral Homes 22.5 mils Professional Office and Drug Stores 22.5 mils Beauty Salons and Barber Shops 20.5 mils Private Schools and Colleges 10.5 mils All Other Businesses 15.5 mils Industrial Park Businesses other then Oil Companies 12.5 mils Utility Companies and Cable T.V. Companies (Gross Revenue) 2.5% Business that has no real property assessment an Annual Tax Rate of $1000.00 or ¼ of 1% of Gross Revenue whichever is lesser to a minimum of $200.00. The tax is to be based on the previous year's gross sales. 3.
