PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY The following regulations have been adopted by the Town Council of Trinity Bay North, under the provision of Section 414 S.N. 1999 of the Municipalities Act, 1999. NOISE REGULATIONS 1. Interpretations: In these regulations unless the context otherwise requires. a. "Council" means the Town Council of Trinity Bay North constituted under the provisions of the Municipalities Act M-24 S.N.1999. b. "Noise" means any loud sound which is disturbing to people. 2. No person with a motor vehicle shall play loud music as to disturb people or cause a nuisance or distraction within the Town of Trinity Bay North. 3. No person within the Town shall use lawnmowers, chainsaws or other equipment which causes excessive noise between the hours of 11:00p.m. and 7:00a.m. Monday to Friday and between the hours of 9:00p.m. to 8:00a.m. Saturday & Sunday. 4. No vehicle shall operate within the Town without a proper muffler. 5. No person shall, being the owner of any property, rented, or otherwise under their control, play loud music, or create excessive noise, so as to disturb neighbours between the hours of 11:00p.m. and 7:00a.m. Monday to Friday and between the hours of 9:00p.m. to 8:00a.m. Saturday & Sunday. 6. Any person who is guilty of an offense against these regulations or who acts in contravention of or fails to comply with any provision thereof, or neglects or refuses to do so, shall be liable on summary conviction to a penalty not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000) in default of payment thereof to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ninety days or to both such fine and imprisonment in accordance with Section 420 of the Municipalities Act. 7. There Regulations shall come into effect on the 18th day of April, 2022 and may be cited as the Town of Trinity Bay North (Noise) Regulations.
