## Town of Antigonish
## Risk Management Policy
The Town of Antigonish believes Risk Management is of primary importance and Town Council along with all Town Employees must be committed to a goal of safety in the workplace and for the public at large.
In fulfilling this commitment, Town management will provide and maintain a safe and healthful work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements, and will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, accidents, or personal illness.
The Town believes that by instituting an effective occupational Health and Safety program it will also protect our families and the general public.
In addition, the Town supports the establishment of specific and more detailed risk management polices and procedures where they are deemed necessary or advisable.
