1 Policy No. 70 "Municipal Floating Dock Policy" POLICY NO. 70 MUNICIPALITY OF THE DISTRICT OF BARRINGTON MUNICIPAL FLOATING DOCK POLICY 1. This Policy relates to Municipal Property located at McGray Avenue, North East Point, identified as PID Number 80024060 and as shown on attached maps. 2. The floating dock is under video surveillance and this source will be used to determine time at the dock. 3. Use of property a. No person shall use the Municipal floating dock for commercial use or as a loading or unloading zone of a commercial nature, unless authorized by the CAO. b. With the exception of the Queen of Hearts Dory Club, no person shall dock or moor a boat at the Municipal floating dock for more than the allowable duration, (2) hours. Any boat docked, moored, left unattended or obstructing use of the property for more than the allowable time, will be removed by the Municipality or a person contracted on its behalf, after due effort has been made by the Municipality to notify the owner or operator. The vessel will be moved to another location and the vessel owner shall be responsible for all associated costs. In special circumstances, the Municipality may waive these costs. c. The Queen of Hearts Dory Club shall be permitted to use one space at the floating dock and if necessary, be allowed to tie a second dory to the first one. There is no time restriction on the berth occupied by the Queen of Hearts Dory Club. 4. No person shall loiter, create a public nuisance or consume alcoholic beverages on the municipal floating dock. 2 Policy No. 70 "Municipal Floating Dock Policy" 5. No person shall leave any trash, garbage or waste on the municipal floating dock. 6. All use of the floating dock will be at the risk of the user, and the Municipality of the District of Barrington will not be held accountable for any damages related to the use of the floating dock. 7.
