It shall be the policy of the Town of Bridgewater to administer an annual fund to support youth who are economically disadvantaged or youth who have been identified as requiring positive support services to participate in recreation and leisure opportunities. The fund will be administered by the Recreation Coordinator in the Community Development Department. The following are the principles used in allocating funds: 1. Any youth residing in the Town of Bridgewater who is 18 years and under. 2. A $300 cap on individual applications and a $500 cap on same family applications. 3. A copy of the Notice of Assessment (NOA) will be required upon application. Eligibility for support will be based on the same salary caps as Canadian Tire Jumpstart and KidSport programs, as amended from time to time. 4. Applicants will be eligible to apply twice per year, in two separate seasons. 5. A reference can be provided as a secondary source of validation along with the NOA. 6. Upon approval, funds will be issued directly to the requested organization/agency. Individuals or families experiencing exceptional circumstances may still be considered on a case- by-case basis, as determined by the Recreation Coordinator. Individuals or families who are interested in accessing these funds must apply by filling out a PRO Kids application.
