MTThUCIPALITY OF THE COUNTY OF INVERNESS
HONORAIUUMS FOR CITIZEN AND ADVISORY COMMITTEES POLICY
PREAMBLE:
The Municipa]ity of the County of Inverness has established a number of
Citizen Advisory Committees to aid in the process of governance. The
purpose of this policy is to establish a uniform Honorarium for citizen
(non-counci]Jnon-staff) members of specified advisory conunittees.
TERMS: This policy shall be entitled "Honorariums for Citizen and Advisory
Cormnittees" and shall apply to the following Committees:
Municipal Planning & Advisory Committee;
Municipal Housing Corporation;
Strait Highlands Regional Development Association;
Heritage Committee;
Margaree Airport Committee;
and other Advisory Committees of Council deemed by motion of
Council to be subject to this policy;
LENGTH OF TERM:
To be determined at committee level or by motion of Council.
HONORARIUM: The Honorarium paid to citizen (non-councillnon-staff)
representatives on applicable committees shall be $200.00 per year
or bther rates as assigned by motion of Council or Committee.

Council Approval: April 2, 2012
