## MUNICIPALITY OF THE DISTRICT OF LUNENBURG
## A By-Law Respecting Deed Transfer Tax
Approved September 1, 2005 Amended July 8, 2008 Amended June 16, 2009 Amended July, 6 2010
- This By-Law is entitled "Deed Transfer Tax By-Law".
2. Effective on September 1, 2005, a Deed Transfer Tax applies in the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg.
3. The rate of the Deed Transfer Tax in the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is 1.25 percent of the value of the property transferred. [Amended July 8, 2008, June 16, 2009, July 6, 2010]
- The Registrar of Deeds shall be the agent and collector of the Deed Transfer Tax for the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg in accordance with the agreement to that effect between the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and the Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations.
