1 Installment Billing Policy 1.0 Purpose It is the policy of the Town of Mahone Bay to invoice Property Taxes in two instalments each fiscal year. 2.0 Authority Municipal Government Act Part 111 - Powers - Section: 48(3) 3.0 Installment Billing Terms 3.1 Each fiscal year, an amount of one half of the previous year's tax rate will be charged against the current assessment of a property along with one half of the infrastructure charge and both shall be due and payable the last business day in May. 3.2 The rates and taxes levied against the property for the current year, less the payment made under section 3.1 shall be due and payable on a date determined by Council by resolution.
