## REGION OF QUEENS MUNICIPALITY ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY 27 - RESPECTING REMUNERATION FOR MAYOR AND COUNCILLORS WHEREAS Region of Queens Municipality wishes to establish a policy concerning remuneration increases for members of Council after each subsequent municipal election in an open and transparent manner; ## THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: - a. Remuneration for the Mayor shall be set at $41,730 annually; and - b. Remuneration for each Councillor shall be set at $20,865 annually; and 3. The Deputy Mayor shall be paid at 100% of the Mayor's compensation level when acting as Mayor; and 4. Immediately subsequent to each municipal election and no later than the date of the swearing in of Council, the remuneration for members of Council shall be adjusted by an amount equal to the cumulative percentage of the average salary increase of all employees of the Region over the preceding four years or by the cumulative average Consumer Price Index for the same period, whichever is less. In no case shall the remuneration be reduced; and - e. Mileage paid to members of Council as a travel allowance for travel outside of their electoral district, supported by a signed travel claim, shall be at the rate per kilometer as approved by Council from time to time. ## REPEAL Administrative Order Respecting the Remuneration of Mayor and Councillor adopted by the Coordinating Committee of the Region of Queens Municipality on the 16th day of January 1996, is hereby repealed. Administrative Order 2 Respecting Remuneration for the Deputy Mayor adopted by Council of the Region of Queens Municipality on the 15th day of February 1999, is hereby repealed. : Administrative Order Respecting the Remuneration of Mayor and Councillors adopted by the Council of the Region of Queens Municipality on the 18 day of September, 2006 is hereby repealed.
