BYLAW 1 THIS BY-LAW SHALL REPEAL AND SUPERCEDE ANY AND ALL PREVIOUS REGULATIONS AND/OR BY-LAWS HELD BY THE TOWN OF SHELBURNE REGARDING DEED TRANSFER TAX. Short Title 1. This By-Law shall be cited as "Deed Transfer By-Law". Provisions a) A deed transfer tax applies in the Town of Shelburne. b) The rate of the deed transfer tax in the Town of Shelburne is 1.5% of the value of the property transferred. c) The Register of Deeds shall be the agent and collector of the deed transfer tax for the Town of Shelburne in accordance with the agreement to that effect between the Town of Shelburne and the Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations. THIS IS TO CERTIFY that the By-Law of which the foregoing is a true copy and was duly passed at duly called meeting of the Council of the Town of Shelburne, held on the day of , 2016.
