Charges on Returned Cheques
Policy Objective
To defray administrative costs associated with returned cheques.
Policy
1. The Town of Stewiacke will charge a twenty dollar ($20.00) service charge on all Non
Sufficient Fund (NSF) cheques returned to the Town by the banks.
2. Where it is determined that a cheque has been returned by a bank and it is the fault of
the bank, the service charge will be forgiven.
3. Effective date is October 1, 2002
