Policy: Chapter 08 Coverage: Deputy Mayor Council Approval: 2005/02 /10 Effective Date: 2005/02/10 Supercedes Date: 2002/10/10 ## Scope This policy will apply to the position of Deputy Mayor of the Town of Trenton and is adopted under authority of Section 16(2) of the Municipal Government Act. ## Policy - After the Municipal Elections which are held in October every fourth year with the last election being October 2004, the office of Deputy Mayor will be held by the candidate receiving the majority of votes for the office of Councillor during the said election. 2.
