Policy: Chapter 02 Coverage: Town Council Council Approval: 91/ 01/24 Effective Date: \_ 91 / 01 24 ## Scope This policy will apply to the Senior Staff of the Town of Trenton. ## Policy - The Town shall encourage its Senior Staff to continually enhance their knowledge and capabilities and in this regard the Town shall pay membership fees for senior appointed officials in their respective associations: as follows: ## Town Clerk-Treasurer - International Institute of Municipal Clerks ## Police Chief - Atlantic Association of Chiefs of Police - Association of Municipal Administrators, Nova Scotia - Association of Chiefs of Police of Nova Scotia ## Fire Chief - (a) Maritime Association of Fire Chiefs ## Superintendent of Public Works - (a) American Water Works Association, Atlantic Chapter ## Water Supervisor - (a) American Water Works Association, Atlantic Chapter ## Recreation Coordinator - (a) Recreation Association of Nova Scotia ## Rink Manager - (a) Rink Manager's Association of Nova Scotia ## PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS POLICY 2. The Town of Trenton shall provide expenses for staff attendance at their respective associations annual conference and seminars. The Town shall pay the actual expenses of registration, transportation and accomodation plus provide a daily allowance of $50.00 to cover meals and miscellaneous expenses. <!-- image --> .
