BYLAW NO. 2017-007
A BYLAW OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF FORT
SIMPSON IN THE NORTHWEST TERRITORIES TO SET WATER RATES,
WASTE WATER/ SEWER RATES, AND HAULED WATER RATES, PASSED
PURSUANT TO THE CITIES, TOWNS AND VILLAGES ACT, S.N.W.T. 2003,
C.22.

WATER / SEWER RATES
ECONOMIC RATE:
1. Economic Rate:
$0.01133 per litre or $ 11.33 per 1000 litres (1 cubic metre)
WATER AND SEWER CONSUMPTION RATES:
2. In this bylaw:
a. Residential and Non-Profit Distribution Customers:
100% of $0.004 per litre or $4.00 per 1000 litres (1 cubic metre)
b. Residential and Non-Profit Hauled Water Customers:
100% of $0.004 per litre or $4.00 per 1000 litres (1 cubic metre)
c. Government Customers
100% of consumption at the rate of $0.01133 per litre or $11.33 per 1000 litres (1 cubic
metre)
d. Commercial and Industrial Distribution Customers:
100% of consumption at the rate of $0.01133 per litre or $11.33 per 1000 litres (1 cubic
metre)
e. Commercial and Industrial Hauled Water Customers:
100% of consumption at the rate of $0.01133 per litre or $11.33 per 1000 litres (1 cubic
metre)
f. Residential, Commercial and Industrial Hauled Sewer Customers Outside of Municipal
Boundaries: at the rate of $250.00 per load into the Village Sewer system.

REPEAL OF BYLAW 2016-001
3. Bylaw 2016-001 is hereby repealed.
