<!-- image --> ## BY-LAW NO. 2764/UTIL/26 Water and Sewer Utility Rates By-law (2026) A BY-LAW of the Municipal Corporation of the Town of Inuvik in the Northwest Territories to establish water and sewer utility rates for 2026. ## WHEREAS 1. The Town of Inuvik has authority under the Cities, Towns and Villages Act to set fees and charges for municipal utilities; and 2. Council deems it necessary to establish updated water and sewer utility rates to reflect current operating costs and maintain sustainable service delivery. NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Town of Inuvik enacts as follows: ## 1. SHORT TITLE - 1.1 This by-law may be cited as the Water and Sewer Utility Rates By-law (2026). ## 2. DEFINITIONS - a) Council means the Council of the Town of Inuvik. - c) Dwelling Unit means a residence as defined in the prior by-law. - b) Customer means any person, business, or government entity receiving water/sewer services. - d) SAO means the Senior Administrative Officer or designate. - e) Town means the Municipal Corporation of the Town of Inuvik. 6. f Water and Sewer Utility Rates means the 2026 rate schedule attached as Schedule A. ## 3. GENERAL PROVISIONS - .1 Customers will be billed monthly according to Schedule 1 - .2 Bills are due within 30 days of the billing dat - 3.3 Invalidity of any clause does not affect the remainder of the by-law. - 3.4 Where conflict exists, this by-law prevails. ## 4. REPEAL - 4.1 By-law 2702/UTIL/23 and all prior water/sewer rate by-laws are hereby repealed. ## 5. EFFECTIVE DATE - 5.1 This by-law comes into effect upon Third Reading and final passage. Residential charges are per dwelling unit. 2. Apartment buildings are charged residential rate; non-government or government depending on ownership. 4. Water point - current holders may deliver sewage (grey water) to the Town of Inuvik Sewage Lagoon up to a volume equivalent to the bulk water volume purchased under this contract for no additional charge. 3.
