Description
A Bylaw of the Hamlet of Cambridge Bay in the Northwest Territories to amend Bylaws 18 and 43
of the Hamlet of Cambridge Bay pursuant to the provisions of the All Terrain Vehicles Act,
S.N.W.T, 1979 C.1, s.5, the Motor Vehicles Act, S.N.W.T. 1981(1), C24., and the Summary
Convictions Procedures Act., S.N.W.T. C.3, S.6(7).
By-Law
Whereas Bylaws 18 and 43 provides for the All Terrain Vehicles and requires amending, the
Council of the Hamlet of Cambridge Bay in a meeting duly assembled enacts as follows:
1.
Short Title
This Bylaw may be cited as the All Terrain Vehicles Bylaw Amendments 1994.
2.
Amendment
Section 19 shall be changed to read;
No person shall drive any snow vehicle on any road within the Hamlet unless that person
has a valid operators license issued under the Vehicles Act of the Northwest Territories or
having attained the age of 16 years for a snow vehicle, or the age of 16 years for a
motorcycle, obtained an operating permit from the Hamlet after passing the prescribed
examination attached to Bylaw 18, Schedule B.
3.
Enactment
This Bylaw shall come into effect upon third and final reading.
