BY-LAW #2021-06

BEING A BY LAW TO SET CERTAIN FEES PERTAINING TO SERVICES AND
PRODUCTS PROVIDED BY THE TOWNSHIP

WHEREAS Section 392 of the Municipal Act 2001 requires municipalities and local
boards to maintain and make available to the public a list indicating which services and
activities will be subject to fees and charges and the amount of each fee or charge.
AND WHEREAS Section 391 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O. 2001, provides for a
municipality to pass by-laws imposing fees or charges on any class of persons for service
or activities provided or done by or on behalf of it; for costs payable by it or services or
activities provided or done by or on behalf of any other municipality or local board; and
for the use of its property including property under its control.
NOW THEREFORE The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Athens hereby
enacts as follows:

Section 7 - GENERAL
1.
This by-law shall come into force and effect July 1, 2021.
2.
That other by-laws which are inconsistent with this by-law be, and are
hereby repealed.
3.
This by-law may be cited as the Fees By-Law.
