# Strategic Plan
The Municipality of Bluewater completed a corporate strategic planning exercise in December 2023. "Future Focus 2024-2027: Corporate Strategic Plan" will act as a guidance document for municipal staff and Council in the years ahead. It outlines our organization's strategic priorities and gives us an adaptable framework to work within to meet community needs, legislative changes and to respond to external events that may impact our community.

## Goals and timelines
During the process, nine wildly important goals were identified. These goals were grouped into clusters based on when they could be accomplished.
### Cluster 1
Our "do now" goals were grouped into Cluster 1. These are scheduled to be completed in 2024 to mid-2025.
* Goal 1: "One Bluewater" asset management plan
* Goal 6: Fire Master Plan and station location review
* Goal 7: Council composition/ward boundary review (removed from timeline during 2024 budget discussions)
### Cluster 2
Our "do next" goals were grouped into Cluster 2. These are scheduled to be completed in 2025 to 2026.
* Goal 2: Multi-year roads sustainability plan
* Goal 4: Annual budget transformed by results targets and reporting (scheduled to continue to end of Council term)
* Goal 8: Initiate shared services program (scheduled to continue to end of Council term)
* Goal 9: Growth-focused development strategy
### Cluster 3
Our second set of "do next" goals were grouped into Cluster 3. These are scheduled to be completed by the end of Council's term (late 2026).
* Goal 3: User pay cost recovery
* Goal 5: "State of the Infrastructure" annual report
