## THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF CHISHOLM ## BY-LAW NO. 2017-33 Being a by-law to authorize the speed limits on certain highways within the Township of Chisholm. WHEREAS section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act R.S.O 1990 Chapter H.8 (as amended) allows the Council of municipality to prescribe a speed limit on any highway under it's jurisdiction. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Chisholm enacts as follows: 1. A speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour is hereby established on River Road fifty (50) metres west and fifty (50) metres east of Bridge No. 4 (Lot 13, Con. 16 &amp; 2. A speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour is hereby established on Alderdale Road from the point 1100 metres south from the intersection of Memorial Park Drive to the Intersection of Chiswick Line. 3. A speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour is hereby established on Kells Road from the point 600 metres south from the intersection of Memorial Park Drive to approximately 200 metres north from the intersection of Church Lane. 4. speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour is hereby established on South Sho bad from its intersection with River Road to a point situated 2 kilometres we of said intersection. 5. A speed limit of 60 kilometres per hour is hereby established for all unposted roads under the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the Township of Chisholm. That this by-law shall come into force upon the erection of the required signs. The penalties provided in subsection (14) of Section 128 of The Highway Traffic Act, as amended, shall apply to offences against this By-law. That By-laws 2009-19, 2011-40, and 2015-10 are hereby repealed.
