## Plans, Reports and Strategies
As a progressive, inclusive, and growing community, the County works to plan ahead in all divisions to meet the needs of residents. Plans, reports, and strategies are completed in alignment with our strategic plan which outlines the County's goals for the current term of Council.
A Community Safety and Well-Being Plan serves as a roadmap for how communities and partner organizations work together to create safer, healthier, and more inclusive places. It focuses on proactive, coordinated, and evidence-informed actions that address complex social issues before they escalate, improving quality of life for all residents.

An Asset Management Plan (AMP) serves as a guiding framework for the County's infrastructure. It outlines the current state of assets, sets service goals, and directs long-term investment to ensure services are delivered sustainably and efficiently.

The Economic Development and Tourism Plan sets a clear direction for how Elgin County will foster economic growth and strengthen tourism. A Salt Management Plan sets out the County's approach to using road salt in a way that maintains winter road safety while reducing impacts on the environment. It establishes practices, responsibilities, and ongoing review processes to balance public safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance.

A Service Delivery Review provides a structured assessment of how County services are delivered and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration. It evaluates current operations and shared services to support strategic priorities, modernize programs, and ensure public services deliver the greatest value to residents.

In 2024, Elgin County Council endorsed the 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, which outlines Elgin's Mission, Vision, Values, and five (5) Strategic Priorities. This plan serves as a framework for decision-making and resource distribution, enabling Elgin County to effectively serve our taxpayers, while also tackling future opportunities and challenges.

Elgin County's Transportation Master Plan (TMP) provides a long-term roadmap for planning and improving the County's transportation system through 2054. It looks at all ways people and goods travel, and identifies needs, opportunities, and recommended improvements. The TMP supports growth, helps manage changing development patterns, and ensures safe, connected and efficient travel across both rural communities and settlement areas.
