By-Law 2023-179
A By-Law to Regulate Parking in the City of Kawartha Lakes
Recitals
The Municipal Act, 2001, s.o. c25 authorizes municipal councils to pass by-laws respecting the parking of vehicles on municipal highways and on other municipal lands, including by-laws to designate parking spaces for the exclusive use of certain vehicles, and to impose fees for parking.
Municipal Councils are authorized to pass by-laws regulating the parking of vehicles on private parking lots, with the written consent of the owners of those private parking lots; to remove and impound or restrain and immobilize any vehicle in breach of this by-law at the owner's expense and create accessible parking spaces.
Council considers it advisable to enact a by-law to deal with these matters.
Accordingly, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes enacts this By-law 2023-179.
