## THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF LATCHFORD ## BY-LAW NO. 2025-014 ## BEING A BY-LAW with respect to Water and Sewage Service Rates for 2025 WHEREAS Sections 9 and 10 of the Sustainable Water and Sewage Systems Act, 2002 states that every regulated entity that provides water services and waste water services to the public shall prepare and approve a plan describing how the entity intends to pay the full cost of providing those services; AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 391(1)(a) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended, a municipality may pass by-laws imposing fees or charges on any class of persons, for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of it; AND WHEREAS Council of the Corporation of the Town of Latchford is committed to comply with requirements of Ontario Regulation 170/03 made pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002, S.O. 2002, Chap. 32 and with all Orders from the Ministry of the Environment; AND WHEREAS the operating cost to provide water and sewer service to the residents has increased. NOW THEREFORE THE Council of the Corporation of the Town of Latchford hereby enacts as follows: That the rates and charges with respect to water and sewer services are hereby set as per Schedules "A" hereto attached and forming part of this by-law. That the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and take effect January 1, 2025 That the final 2025 water and sewer bills be included with the final tax bill with the instalment dates being August 29th, 2025 for the first instalment and October 31st 2025 being the second installment. 3. That on all unpaid water and sewer bills, interest shall be added at the rate of 1.25% per month for each month or fraction thereof in which the arrears continue. That all water and sewer bills are due and payable to the Corporation of the Town of Latchford at 10 Main Street, Latchford Ontario POJ-1NO READ a first, second and third time and finally passed on the 13th day Of May 2025.  ## Deputy Treasurer-Deputy Clerk Laurel Gadoury To ## Schedule "A" By-law No. 2025-014 For the Year 2025 the residential water rate shall be $807.20 and the residential sewer rate shall be $765.03 The combined rate shall be $1572.23 split 60/40. Frontage and Connection charges shall still apply.
