The Township of Laurentian Valley in conjunction with the City of Pembroke, Towns of Deep River, Petawawa, Laurentian Hills, Townships of Admaston/Bromley, North Algona Wilberforce, and Whitewater Region developed a Joint Community Safety & Well-Being Plan.
The Community safety and Well-being plan is a collaborative effort with neighboring municipalities including police, First Nations, community partners and members of the community to remove barriers and improve access to the social determinants of health and well-being so that every community member can realize their unique talents and potential in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. The primary goal of the plan is to identify and address the root causes of safety and well-being issues in a community. The plan identifies strategies and interventions aimed at reducing risks factors and improve the overall well-being of our communities.
