Conservation is a key part of the province's effort to lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and build a clean, reliable, modern energy system. As a result, public agencies are now required to: * Report their annual energy use and GHG emissions to the Ministry of Energy as of July 1, 2013 * Develop five-year energy conservation and demand management (CDM) plans by July 1, 2014 Energy reporting and conservation planning will help us: * manage electricity use and costs; * identify best practices and energy-saving opportunities; * evaluate results by comparing to similar facilities across the province; * assist in setting goals by providing a benchmark; and * measure improvement over time The Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan will outline: * conservation goals and objectives; * proposed conservation measures; * estimated costs and benefits; and * any renewable energy installations ## Energy Conservation & Demand Management Plans Regulation 397/11 requires public agencies to prepare, publish, make available to the public and implement energy conservation and demand management plans. | | | --- | | 2019-2023 LV Energy Plan | | View the full plan If you would like an accessible copy, please contact the municipal office 613-735-6291. | Contact Us Subscribe to this page
