# Community Improvement Plan
## Community Improvement Plan
The Leamington Uptown Community Improvement Plan (CIP) was established by Council in 2012 to "provide strategic direction and financial incentive programs that focus on the maintenance, rehabilitation, development and redevelopment of the Uptown Commercial District. The CIP aims to promote cultural cohesion, strengthen main street and stimulate new investment while retaining existing businesses." The CIP assists to revitalize Uptown Leamington by offering financial incentive grant programs to property and business owners.

**Please note:** All projects must be consistent with the goals of the Uptown Commercial District CIP. All funding is subject to availability and meeting necessary eligibility requirements. A review and approval process must be completed before work can begin. No grants are awarded until the projects are satisfactorily completed and proof of payment expenses are verified.
## Community Improvement Plan Applications
The Community Improvement Plan program was placed **on hold**in late 2023. The Municipality of Leamington will not be accepting new applications at this time.
