## Zoning By-Law
The purpose and effect of Zoning By-Law No. 2024-17 is to repeal and replace the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law for the Township of McGarry. The Zoning By-Law was completed to be in conformity with the 2024 Official Plan. The By-Law includes the regulation of the use of land, the size and location of buildings and structures, and parking requirements in the Township of McGarry.

## What is zoning and why is it important?
Zoning laws help to ensure that a community is laid out in the most convenient and efficient manner and that areas reserved for related and complimentary uses are located in close proximity. For example, ideally, you would want to locate schools in close proximity to the residential neighborhoods they serve.
