# Forestry and Natural Heritage

The County of Middlesex owns and manages the County Forest which consists of 1025 hectares (2500 acres) within 27 tracts. See below and find out all of the services the Department of Forestry and Natural Heritage provides.

Using County Forests
To keep everyone's experience safe and enjoyable, please follow all posted rules and regulations. Your cooperation helps maintain the beauty and quality of our trails. When crossing major roads, be sure to look both ways and watch for traffic. Your safety is our top priority.
All Middlesex County forestry signs are in accordance with the County Woodland Bylaw under section 135 of the Municipal Act.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors, please be aware that all vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and cars and trucks, are prohibited in all County-owned forests.
