# By-Laws & Enforcement

The Town of Minto has numerous By-laws enacted for various reasons. Examples of this include: Dog Licensing By-Law, enacted to regulate the keeping of dogs within the Town; Parking By-Law, enacted to regulate the safe parking of vehicles within the Town; Noise By-Law, enacted to allow residents to enjoy the use of their properties, free from certain noises.
With the exception of the Noise By-Law, Parking By-Law and the Taxi By-law, the Building Department is responsible for the enforcement of the Town's By-laws. The Wellington County OPP are under contract with the Town to enforce the Noise By-Law, Parking By-law and Taxi By-law. Complaints under the scope of these three by-laws are to be made with the OPP.
Please be advised that the By-law Enforcement Officer(s) at the Town of Minto are responsible for the enforcement of the Town's By-laws. Please note that Noise-Bylaw or Parking By-law violations outside of Town of Minto hours (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) are enforced by the Wellington County OPP.
Complaints must be provided in written form only or through filling out the digital form below. All complaints must include your name, address, telephone number and email. Please be advised that anonymous complaints will not be accepted. This policy ensures that our By-law Enforcement Officer has a record on file of by-law and property standard complaints.
It is the responsibility of the Town of Minto's By-law Enforcement Officer(s) to respond to all complaints when submitted in writing and provided to the Town by mail, fax, e-mail or via the Town's online reporting form. It is also the right of the By-law Enforcement Officer(s) to act on an issue without a complaint.
## File a Complaint
Municipal By-law complaints must be provided to the Building Department in written form only. The complaint form can be found online or from the Town of Minto's Administrative Office during regular business hours.
