# Community Safety and Well-Being
## Community Safety and Well-Being
In Ontario, Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) is a provincially mandated, collaborative approach designed to improve the safety, health, and quality of life for all residents. It's guided by the Safer Ontario Act, 2018, which requires every municipality to develop and adopt a CSWB Plan.
North Bay's Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (CSWBP) is a coordinated cross sector effort to foster a safe, healthy and inclusive community by responding to identified priority risks. Ultimately, CSWB Plans set out to meet locally identified goals, outcomes and objectives through collaborative outputs and actions.
