ORILLIA 489.1 MAY 2020 FINANCIAL CHAPTER 489 FEES - ILLEGAL CANNABIS GROW HOUSE CHAPTER INDEX Article 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS 489.1.1 Fees - set out - requirement to pay 489.1.2 Fees - payable 489.1.3 Fees - estimated 489.1.4 Fees - unpaid - interest 489.1.5 Fees - unpaid - taxes 489.1.6 Fees - effective date SCHEDULE Schedule 'A' User Fees __________ Article 1 GENERAL PROVISIONS 489.1.1 Fees - set out - requirement to pay Any building within the City of Orillia that has operated as an illegal cannabis grow house operation will be subject to the fees set out in Schedule 'A'. 489.1.2 Fees - payable The costs of attendances by inspectors to attend at grow houses and render them safe, including, but not limited to, the following activities or services: (a) ensuring security for the connection, or reconnection of hydro meters, and the checking for unsafe wiring; (b) the detection and removal of booby traps; (c) any matter under the Fire Code or Building Code; and (d) the removal of controlled substances and ancillary equipment for their growth and manufacture, USER FEES - ILLEGAL CANNABIS GROW HOUSE 489 ORILLIA 489.2 MAY 2020 is a debt due to the City of Orillia by the assessed owner of the grow house. All fees payable in accordance with this Chapter shall be invoiced subsequent to the service or activity provided. 489.1.3 Fees - estimated Costs payable to the City for services or activities done on behalf of the City may be estimated and the estimated cost may be deposited with the City. 489.1.4 Fees - unpaid - interest Fees arising in accordance with this Chapter that remain unpaid after 30 days, may bear interest at the rate of 1.25% per month until paid in full. 489.1.5 Fees - unpaid - taxes Fees owing in accordance with this Chapter that are unpaid are a debt to the City and together with all interest and penalties accrued thereupon, may be collected by the City by way of action or may be collected by an authorized agent on behalf of the City or may be collected in the same manner as taxes. 489.1.6 Fees - effective date The fees described in Schedule 'A' shall become effective on upon passage of this Chapter.
