The Township of Oro-Medonte is committed to ensuring its procurement decisions are fair, open and transparent.
The **Township of Oro-Medonte Procurement Policy** establishes rules governing the procurement/purchasing of Goods and Services that reflect the best value for the taxpayer, protect the Township's financial interests and encourage competitive Bidding.

### Surplus Goods
When Township assets are declared surplus, and unable to be utilized within the municipal departments, we will attempt to dispose of them through public auction, **on-line auction** or sale by tender. The environment and cost efficiency are taken into consideration along with providing the public with a fair opportunity to obtain this surplus.
Surplus means Township assets (furniture, vehicles, equipment, supplies, and other goods and material) that are deemed to be noncurrent, obsolete, worn out, or having no functional use but still may have some economic value.
