Village of Point Edward By-Law 24 of 2019 A By-Law to Approve a Policy for the use of Surveillance Cameras In Village of Point Edward Facilities WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended ( the " Municipal Act") provides that the powers of a Municipal Corporation are to be exercised by its Council through the adoption of By- Laws; WHEREAS the Council deems it appropriate to use surveillance cameras in order to maintain the safety and security of people and property while using Village of Point Edward facilities; and WHEREAS several cameras have been installed in various Village owned facilities; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Point Edward hereby enacts as follows: 1. THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Point Edward hereby adopt the attached Schedule " B" as the Village of Point Edward Policy regarding the use of surveillance cameras. 2. THAT this By-Law shall come into full force and effect on the date of final passage, at which time all By- Laws and/ or resolutions that are inconsistent with the provisions of this By- Law and the same are hereby repealed or rescinded insofar as it is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By- Law. 3. THAT THIS By- Law be READ a FIRST, SECOND and THIRD TIME and FINALLY PASSED this 28th day of May, 2019. Mayor Bev Hand gaila Clerk Jim Burns
