C  ## CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PRINCE ## BY-LAW 2025-39 Being a By-law to amend By-law 2024-31, the Yard Maintenance By-law, To Provide for Fees and Cost Recovery WHEREAS The Council of The Corporation of the Township of Prince enacted By-law 2024-31, being a by-law requiring the cleaning and clearing of yards and vacant lots and the clearing of refuse, and considers it desirable to amend By-law 2024-31 to impose fees for certain services and to provide for the recovery of unpaid fees and costs by adding them to the tax roll; and; WHEREAS Section 127 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended, authorizes a municipality to require the cleaning and clearing of land and to recover the costs of doing so; and; WHEREAS Section 391 of the Municipal Act, 2001 authorizes a municipality to impose fees or charges for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of it; NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Prince enacts as follows: 1. That By-law 2024-31 is hereby amended by adding Schedule "A" - Fees, attached hereto and forming part of this by-law, as amended from time to time. 2. This by-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of its passing. READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND PASSED this 17'h day of September 2025. Melanie Mageran Mayor Starolei Clerk    ## Fees and Cost Recovery ## Collection of Fees: Any unpaid fee or charge imposed under this Schedule shall be added to the tax roll for the subject property and collected in the same manner as municipal taxes, pursuant to section 398 of the Municipal Act, 2001. | Service or Activity | Fee | |---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|-------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Inspections where owner fails to comply with an Order: Owner who failed to comply with an Order shall pay the fee for each inspection to determine if contraventions of this By-law observed on an initial inspection have been corrected, additional where the contraventions have not been remedied by the time provided for in the said Order. | $100.00 for each inspection | | Municipality undertakes to complete the work: Where the Municipality undertakes $150.00 fee; to complete the work required to comply with any order, for the cost of all work performed, plus an administrative fee. | Work Cost up to $600.00 = Work Cost over $600.00 = 25% of overall costs | | Certificate of Compliance: Where, after inspecting a property, an Officer may, or on the request of the owner, issue the owner a certificate of compliance. | $50.00 | ## SCHEDULE "A" - FEES  C
