This "living document" is intended to be used as a guide for municipal infrastructure investment. Township staff from various departments work together to continually update the Asset Management Plan as new information is available. Updates include ongoing condition assessments, revised costing, as well as acquisition and disposal of capital assets. The Township commenced an Asset Management Roadmap to improve the accuracy and overall strength of the Asset Management practice. The first outcome of this roadmap project was the establishment of a Strategic Asset Management Policy to establish roles/responsibilities and provide a framework for effective Asset Management Planning. As outlined in section 6 of the Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure regulation (O.Reg. 588/17"), all municipalities in Ontario are required to have an asset management plan that identifies proposed levels of service, activities required to meet proposed levels of service, and a strategy to fund these activities by July 1, 2025. As per section 10 of the Regulation, these plans are to be made publicly available on an accessible website.
