WHAT ARE BYLAWS
Municipal bylaws are **laws passed by Council** under the authority of the ***Municipal Act, 2001*** and other provincial legislation. Bylaws establish rules and regulations that residents, businesses, and the municipality must follow.

**Helpful search tips**
* Use **keywords**, not full titles (for example: "noise," "dogs," "parking," "burning," or "fees")

* Filter results by **Document Type: Bylaw**
* Sort results by **year** if you know when the bylaw was passed
