THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SHUNIAH
By-law No.

Being a By-law to prohibit obstructing or encumbering of
highways, public lanes and bridges in the Township of
Shuniah and to repeal By-law No. 2049-01.
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, Section 314(1), provides that by-laws may
be passed by the councils of municipalities prohibiting or regulating the obstructing,
encumbering, injuring or fouling of highways or bridges;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
SHUNIAH ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.
That no person, persons, or corporation shall obstruct, or cause to be obstructed
or encumbered in any way, any highway, public lane or bridge in and under the
jurisdiction of the Township of Shuniah by depositing or placing thereon any
matter or object whatsoever, including, without restricting the generality of the
foregoing, any snow, dirt, ashes, glass, nails, rubbish or garbage.
2.
Every person who contravenes any provision of this by-law is guilty of an offence
and on conviction is liable to a fine as provided for in the Provincial Offences Act.
3.
That By-law No. 2049-01 is hereby repealed.
4.
This by-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of passing.
