THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH ALGONQUIN BY-LAW NUMBER 2026-875 Being a by-law to establish the tariff of rates for cemeteries within South Algonquin Township. WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of South Algonquin may pass by-laws establishing and requiring the payment of fees and charges for information, services, activities and use of Township property and facilities; AND WHEREAS Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Algonquin passed by-law no. being a by-law for the maintenance, management and control of cemeteries owned and operated by the Township of South Algonquin. AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Algonquin deems it expedient to establish cemetery rates with respect to cemetery's operated by the Township; AND WHEREAS by-laws imposing such fees and charges are authorized by Section 391 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, Chapter 25 and various other provisions of the Act and by various other statutes; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Township of South Algonquin hereby enacts as follows: 1. THAT fees be established in accordance with Schedule "A" attached 2. THAT this By-law shall come into full force and effect upon the passing thereof. For in-ground graves equal to or larger than 2.23 m² (24 ft²), the contribution shall be 40% of the purchase price (minimum $290). For smaller lots, the contribution shall be 40% of the purchase price (minimum $175).
