THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF SOUTH RIVER
By-law #24-2016
Being a By-law of the Village of South River to amend No Smoking in Public Places By-law
#18-2016
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Village of South River deems it desirable to amend by-law #18-2016
to provide clearer understanding;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Village of South River hereby enacts as
follows:
1.
That Section 2.3 of by-law #18-2016 be amended from:
" No person shall smoke or hold electronic cigarettes or any vapor device, in any building or on any land
owned by the Village of South River" to read "No person shall smoke or hold electronic cigarettes
or any vapor device, in any municipally building or within a nine (9) meter radius
surrounding any entrance, exit, or air intake, of municipal property or on any public beach
within the Village of South River;
2.
The Mayor and the Clerk Administrator of the Village of South River are hereby
authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to the said action or to
obtain approval where required and except where otherwise provided, the Mayor and the
Clerk Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to affix the Corporate Seal of the
Municipality to all such documents.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 25th DAY OF July,
