The City of St. Catharines Noise By-law (By-law 95-198) addresses issues such as persistent noise created by construction, combustible motors, barking dogs, whining or calling of domestic animals, music and yelling. ## Submit a complaint Depending on the nature of the noise there are several ways to submit a complaint. | | | --- | | Immediate / temporary noise | | If your complaint requires immediate response and is temporary in nature (e.g. a late night party) please reach out to the Niagara Regional Police. | | Persistent noise | | You can report an issue around persistent noise complaints online. Persistent noise includes the following: * Engine or motor noise over a period of 10 minutes in a residential neighbourhood * Operation of a horn or other warning device * Construction equipment noise between 11 pm and 7 am * Other noise disturbing inhabitants | | Animal noise | | You can submit complaints related to persistent dog barking and/or whining or calling of domestic animals to Niagara Region Animal Services Inc. | Contact Us Subscribe To Page Updates
