THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF TEMAGAMI
BY-LAW NO. 23-1680
Being a by-law to set fees and charges for services, activities and use of municipal property.
WHEREAS under Section 391 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O., 2001, c.25; 2006, c. 32, Sched.
A, s. 163 (1), as amended, a municipality may pass by-laws imposing fees or charges on persons,
(a)
for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf of it;
(b)
for costs payable by it for services or activities provided or done by or on behalf
of any other municipality or local board; and
(c)
for the use of its property including property under its control.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami wishes to set
fees and charges for services, activities and for the use of its property;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Temagami hereby
enacts as follows:
1.
That the fees and charges be set and adopted by Council as set out in Schedules "A" to
"M", which are attached hereto and form part of this by-law;
2.
That any former by-law, namely by-law 23-1665 are hereby repealed;
3.
That this By-law shall be cited as the "2023 User Fee By-law";
4.
That updates to this by-law within the year may be authorized by a resolution
of Council;
5.
That the Clerk of the Municipality of Temagami is hereby authorized
to make minor
modifications or corrections of a grammatical or typographical nature to the by-law and
schedule, after the passage of this by-law, where such modifications or corrections do not
alter the intent of the by-law.
6.
This bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing thereof.
BE TAKEN AS READ A FIRST time on this 10th day of August, 2023.
