THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF TUDOR AND CASHEL
BY-LAW NO: 2016-47
Being a By-law to reduce the speed
along part of Weslemkoon Lake Road
WHEREAS Section 128(2) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter H.8
allows a council of a municipality to prescribe, by way of by-law, a rate of speed
different from the rate set out in subsection (1) that is not greater than 100
kilometres per hour for motor vehicles driven on a highway or portion of a
highway under its jurisdiction;
AND WHEREAS the Council for The Corporation of the Township of Tudor and
Cashel deems it necessary to reduce the speed limit on part of Weslemkoon Lake
Road;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Township of Tudor
and Cashel enacts as follows;
1.
THAT the speed limit for motor vehicles travelling on that part of
Weslemkoon Lake Road from the intersection at Highway 62 to and
including the intersection at Hammond Road shall be reduced from 80
kilometres per hour to 60 kilometres per hour.
2.
THAT this by-law shall take effect as at January 01, 2017.
3.
THAT any by-laws, part by-laws and/or resolutions that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this by-law are hereby repealed or rescinded
insofar as it is necessary to give effect to the provisions of this by-law.
