## **General Information**
The Township of Tyendinaga is committed to providing a fair, transparent, and open procurement process. All bids and tenders follow the Purchasing and Procurement Policy.
Posting to the **bids & tenders** eProcurement platform promotes transparency in the bids and tender process. This system allows the municipality to streamline administrative processes, while also making it easier for suppliers to do business with them. By improving access to procurement opportunities, supplier communication, and bid documentation, Tyendinaga Township and its suppliers can save time and money across the entire procurement process.
Suppliers interested in doing business with Township of Tyendinaga should visit Bids and Tenders Portal for more information.

## **Request for Proposals**
A request for proposal is a bid submitted to the Township through a formal, public invitation to suppliers to provide goods or services where it is not practical to prepare precise specifications, or where "alternatives" to specifications will be considered. The RFP process allows suppliers to propose solutions to arrive at the end product, and allows for evaluation on criteria other than price to ensure that competition for the use of public money is open, fair and free from any parties having an unfair advantage of separate, prior, closed-door negotiations for the contract.
---
## **Quotations**
A quotation is a bid submitted to the Township, by suppliers, in response to a request for quotation on a specific product or service.
