Given the range and scope of services provided, the Township of Uxbridge has a distinct responsibility to ensure that infrastructure is planned, built, and maintained in a sustainable way. While complying with legislative requirements, the Asset Management Plan helps set financial goals and maintain financial security by describing the actions required to manage the Township's portfolio of assets in a way that supports established service levels and helps achieve target service levels, while managing risks and costs. Through the **2025 Asset Management Plan**an assessment of all current municipal assets is provided, including: * Buildings * Vehicles * Machinery, equipment and furnishings * Land Improvements * Parks * Sidewalks and pathways * Stormwater infrastructure * Bridges and culverts * Roads and related infrastructure The 2025 Asset Management Plan is an update to prior versions of the Township's plan and complies with the additional criteria required under O. Reg. 588/17 by July 1, 2025. It includes a roadmap of actions required to maintain and improve infrastructure into the future. The Asset Management Plan contains technical information about the state of current infrastructure, current levels of service, proposed levels of service, maintenance strategies, long-term capital requirements and funding strategy scenarios. It provides a clear, detailed picture of the Township's assets, needs and priorities. ## Strategic Asset Management Policy The Township's Strategic Asset Management Policy (SAMP) sets high-level guidelines regarding the concept of responsibly managing Township owned infrastructure. These guidelines relate to: * Levels of service * Risk * Climate change * Environmental protection * Economic growth * Future events * Financial capacity The SAMP aligns with the Township's Strategic Plan and Official Plan. It outlines responsibilities and provides a framework for all Township employees involved in asset management.
