# Municipal Asset Management Plan
The Town of Whitby's Municipal Asset Management Plan gives an overview of the Town's municipal asset health and financial preparedness in order to meet the service expectations of the community. The plan is a living document that provides a roadmap to maintain and improve municipal assets into the future.
In accordance with O. Reg. 588/17, this version of the plan outlines the current levels of service for all Town assets, the condition of all Town assets, and growth forecasts for the Town of Whitby.
## Strategic Asset Management Policy
The Strategic Asset Management Policy sets guidelines on responsibly managing Town owned infrastructure, based on levels of service, risk, climate change, environmental protection, economic growth, future events and financial capacity. It provides a framework to Town staff on how to use best practices to manage municipal assets.
## Asset Management Procedure
Our Asset Management Procedure identifies the specific objectives of the Municipal Asset Management Plan and outlines the responsibilities of all staff involved in managing Town infrastructure assets and services.
