MALL BEAUTIFICATION POLICY
883/92
That the following policy respecting the development of design standards for mall
beautification BE ESTABLISHED:
a) current guidelines and standards for the downtown and urban development be
adopted as a policy guide for application during the Site Plan Control process and
inclusion in the Landscape Manual and the Public Works Development Manual
for all future streetscape developments;
b) consultants retained to design and manage construction of streetscapes be required
to adhere to Council's policies regarding accessibility;
c) existing agreements/by-laws to eliminate clutter caused by illegal temporary
signs, sidewalk displays, and the installation and removal of cafe enclosures, be
enforced.
