On-Street Residential Permit Parking
Policy Description
A policy outlining areas where on-street permit parking is allowed
and the method of requesting new or expanded permit parking
areas.
The On-Street Residential Permit Parking Policy has was approved by Council
resolution 1442/94 on December 12, 1994 and subsequently amended on
December 18, 1995 via CR1377/95 and on May 06, 2013 via CR93/2013.
Currently, on-street residential permit parking is restricted to the following
areas as determined by the Executive Director of Operations:

Adjacent to the University of Windsor,
-
Within the Central Business District, and
-
Adjacent to St Clair College.
New areas (within these restricted areas) to be considered for on-street
residential permit parking will be required to demonstrate a 95% community
approval rating. This is established through a petition process. The petition is
prepared by City Administration and circulated by requesting community
representatives.
Permit Fees associated with parking within on-street residential permit parking
zones will be as amended from time to time during the annual Operating
Budget.
