Citation
This Chapter may be cited and known as the Canine Waste By-law.
Article 2 - Interpretation
216.2.1
Highway - defined
"highway" means a common and public highway and includes a street,
avenue, roadway, parkway, lane, alley, driveway, pedestrian access,
square, place, bridge, viaduct or trestle, designed and intended for or
used by the general public.
216.2.2
Public park - defined
"public park" means a park area designed and intended for or used by the
public. By-law 6035-83, June 2, 1983.
Article 3 - Removal - Excrement
216.3.1
Responsibility - person in control
Every person having control of a dog shall forthwith remove any feces left
by such dog on any highway, public park or private property within the
boundaries of the City of Woodstock. By-law 6035-83, June 2, 1983; By-

Article 4 - Enforcement
216.4.1
Fine - for contravention
Every person who contravenes any of the provisions of this Chapter is
guilty of an offence and upon conviction is liable to a fine or penalty as
provided in the Provincial Offences Act. By-law 7139-94, June 2, 1994.
Article 5 - Enactment
216.5.1
Effective date
The by-law upon which this Chapter is founded came into force and took
effect on the date of the passing thereof. By-law 6035-83, June 2, 1983.
