Article 1 - Interpretation

Train - defined
"train" includes any engine, locomotive, car or other railway equipment
designed for movement on the rails or tracks of the company.
Article 2 - Engine Whistle - Horn - Sounding
823.2.1
Prohibited - on designated streets - exception - danger
No person shall blow or cause to be blown or sounded, the engine whistle or horn
of any train when approaching crossings of the Dundas Subdivision of Canadian
National Railways at the following streets:
a)
Norwich Avenue;
b)
Wilson Street;
c)
Ingersoll Road; and
d)
Main Street;
except in cases of imminent danger. By-law 2945, November 23, 1953.
Article 3 - Enforcement

Fine - for contravention
Every person who contravenes any of the provisions of this Chapter is guilty of
an offence and upon conviction is liable to a fine or penalty as provided in the
Provincial Offences Act. By-law 7139-94, June 2, 1994.
Article 4 - Enactment - Conditional
823.4.1
Approval - required
The by-law upon which this Chapter is founded shall be subject to the approval
of the Board of Transport Commissions for Canada, and shall come into force and
take effect upon the final passing thereof. By-law 2945, November 23, 1953.
