## TOWN OF THREE RIVERS POLICY ## PROCLAMATION POLICY Policy Number: Approved By: TR23-02 Town Council Date of Approval: July 10, 2023 Review Date: Yearly 1. The procedural requirements in this Policy are intended to guide the Municipality with the making and/or reading of proclamations and the displaying of any symbols on Town property. 2. In this policy, unless the context otherwise requires, - i) "Council meeting" means any meeting of the Council for the Town of Three Rivers duly called to order. 4. ii) "Proclamation or declaration" means any statement made, or requested to be made, in favour or against any recognized organization, time, event, or symbol. 5. ili) "Symbol" means any flag, emblem, crest, insignia, representation or other image or indication associated with any group, organization, or cause. 3. It shall be the policy of the Town of Three Rivers that: - i) the following symbols, the Canadian flag, the Province of PEl flag, and the Town of Three Rivers flag can be displayed on town-owned property, not withstanding, any applicant's flag approved by the Mayor of Three Rivers and the Chief Administrative Officer will be flown. 8. ii) proclamations or declarations can be made and read at council meetings, at the decision of the Mayor of Three Rivers.
